Álvaro Mejía Trejo, better known as El Fantasma de la Ópera was born in Maravillas, Hidalgo. Resides in Mexico since he was 11 years old. He lived near Plaza de Toros El Cortijo where there were lucha libre events weekly. Álvaro met luchadores who changed his life, because he saw a match that made him decide to become a luchador.
