On December 3, 1975, LLI held a torneo de la muerte featuring 8 teams of masked wrestlers. As in all torneo de la muerte tournaments, the losing team advanced to the last round, with the final pair of teams facing off in an apuesta match.
The teams were preassigned before the tournament. A battle royal was held to determine seeding, and was won by Mil Mascaras
