He was an avid wrestling fan, he used to go to local shows at the Arena Pueblo Nuevo admiring all the wrestlers who presented there. His first approach to practice this sport was when he met Bobby Martinez when he saw training a group. He did not miss any day of training at Arena Coliseo Mexicali. He had no intention to become professional, he only wanted to train as a sport or for self-defense. However, he liked and involved more and more until he decided to do it professionally inspired by Príncipe Negro and Caudillo II.
