After an extended period in CMLL's undercards as Filoso, this wrestler was reintroduced as Nitro when re-debuting as part of Pierroth's ever evolving Boricua stable. As that group faded away, Nitro merged back into the normal pool of second/third match rudos.
Nitro's biggest career success was winning the Mexican National Trios Championship with Dr. X. and Sangre Azteca. He was also a successful semiregular with IWRG until CMLL blocked it's talent from wrestling in that promotion. (A new Filoso surfaced for a while in IWRG, but the connection to the original is unknown.) Nitro was a part of the Pandilla Guerrera faction and is seen as leader of it's successor, Guerreros Tuareg.
Much like others in his position, Nitro is a good solid rudo who helps young tecnicos look flashy, but is seemingly stuck in the same position for eternity (or he drops his mask and calls it a career.) Both the Pandilla and Tuareg/Rebelde groups have seemed to exist only to mollify long suffering guys like Nitro; a promise of a new big chance for the members, which quickly is forgotten.
In January 2009, CMLL announced Nitro would be undergoing double knee surgery. The resulting rehabilitation is expected to sideline Nitro for 9 months.
