Antonio Peña was the former head booker of EMLL, who left his position in 1992 to form Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA), which revolutionized the style in which matches in Mexico were presented, reaching its height of popularity in the early 90's prior to the downturn of the Mexican economy. AAA was largely responsible for introducing the Lucha Lucha style to the United States, with the help of wrestlers such as Konnan, Rey Misterio Jr, Psicosis and La Parka.
Controversy with Trademarks
Peña has occasionally been criticized with trademarking gimmicks and not allowing the original performers of the gimmicks to use the name elsewhere. The two biggest examples are with Nicho el Millonario (the original Psicosis) and L.A. Park (the original La Parka), who were not allowed to use the names in Mexico.
