Archi had a vast background sports such as judo, karate, rugby, swimming, and play soccer professionally in Club Atlético Independiente until a knee injury ended his career. In 1980 he joined to the gymnasium of Jorge Di Cicca, where he prepared as a professional wrestler. Three years later, Archi entered to Titanes en el Ring as amateur, filling in live shows.
