Promo Azteca

Promo Azteca was a short lived promotion based in Mexico that was started by Konnan in 1996 after having a falling out with AAA. Konnan brought in friends of his who went with him to WCW from AAA including Super Calo, La Parka, Psicosis, Super Crazy, Venum Black and Rey Misterio Jr. as well as the up and coming Pantera Del Ring, Último Rebelde and Último Guerrero. Promo Azteca changed the way Mexican wrestling was promoted as it used one-fall matches as oppose to the best two out of three falls that would be used at that point. By the end of the 1990's, it closed quietly however AAA has since adopted the one-fall matches that Promo Azteca started with.
