Mexican National Atomicos Titles Tournament, 1996

In August 1996, the AAA promotion got clearence by the commision to create the first ever Mexican National Atomicos Champions. No official brackets were ever announced and to make things even more complicated - no official TEAMS were announced. However by piecing together old results, the following teams appeared to be entered:

• Angel Blanco Jr., Cien Caras, & El Halcon & Fishman
• Blue Demon Jr., Latin Lover, Mascara Sagrada & Super Calo
• Pierroth Jr., Villano III, Villano IV & Villano V
• Super Muñeco, Coco Amarillo, Coco Azul & Coco Rojo
• Damian 666, El Hijo Del Espectro, Halloween & Karis La Momia
• Antifaz, Latin Lover, Sergio Romo Jr. & Silver Star
• Konnan, Rey Misterio Jr., Tinieblas Jr. & Venum
• Heavy Metal, Jerry Estrada, Picudo & Super Crazy

An oddity that has yet to be figured out is on the day of the finals, the following matches also took place:

• Pierroth Jr., Villano III, Villano IV & Villano V beat Mascara Sagrada, Mascara Sagrada Jr., Tinieblas Jr. & Blue Demon Jr.
• Damian 666, El Hijo Del Espectro, Halloween & Karis La Momia defeated La Parka, Super Calo, Winners & El Mexicano

It is unclear if those matches were part of the tournament or not.
