Profile

He was the son of Rudy Garcia, who may have been a wrestler, though little details of his career are available. He and his brothers all became wrestlers, with his brothers going on to become Huracan Ramirez, El Matematico and Demonio Rojo. The family ended up becoming one of the most successful wrestling families ever with both Matematico and Huracan becoming lucha libre legends.

He spent his early career as "Pantera Roja" which translates to "The Red Panther". He later became "El Catedratico", which translates to "The Professor". The name and look were clearly inspired by his brother, El Matematico. He wrestled in small arenas and made his way to El Toreo. He often partnered with his brother El Matematico and the duo become known as "Suicidas Espaciales".

Later on, he found his way to Pavillion Azteca, the child friendly promotion featuring the likes of Super Muneco and Super Pinocho. There he unsuccessfully challenged for the AWWA World Middleweight Championship held by Ricky Boy and the AWWA Light Heavyweight Championship held by El Mercenario. He later returned to the independents and wrestled into the early 1990's. He is not believed to have ever been unmasked.

He passed away on December 3rd, 2020 and is continued on by his sons Dr. Zeta and Rayo Colombiano, who went on to become wrestlers. There was also a Catedrático Jr., who may or may not have been related.
