Profile

Archi had a vast background sports such as judo, karate, rugby, swimming, and play soccer professionally in Club Atlético Independiente until a knee injury ended his career. In 1980 he joined to the gymnasium of Jorge Di Cicca, where he prepared as a professional wrestler. Three years later, Archi entered to Titanes en el Ring as amateur, filling in live shows. His breakthrough on television was until 1988 where he became the new incarnation of biblical character David el Pastor. The gimmick was already introduced in 1973 by other wrestlers, however Archi added his own style performing spectacular holds, high flying moves, and a vast array of tecnical resources. Alternatively used the gimmick of Voltron. He participated in the second season of Lucha Fuerte (1989) to take the gimmick of Raitor Gladiador del Espacio, extended to some emissions of Super Catch (1990). Became part of the roster of Rambo y sus Titanes in 1991, conceived to promote toy lines of Rambo and The Police Academy took the gimmick of T.D. Jackson. His in ring activities continued in the cycles of Lucha Mundial (1993) and its sequel Lucha Total (1995) as Max El Guerrero del 2050, again as a great técnico. In 1999 trained and led a group of wrestlers who participated in the soap opera Cabecita he played El Gallo Rojo. He was mainly identified aa David el Pastor gaining the respect and admiration of his peers and fans. Archi passed away on march 23, 2022 at the age of 64.
