CMLL World Heavyweight Tournament, 1992

AAA's split from CMLL left them without many wrestlers, and without a World Heavyweight Champion. The champion, Cien Caras, and the previous champion, Konnan, were both part of the group that eventually left.

CMLL held a 16 man tournament in Arena Mexico to determine a new champion. The tournament started on October 30, and ended on November 20, 1992.
