Distrito Federal Trios Tournament, 2010
After Cerebro Negro had a falling out with IWRG management, the Distrito Federal Trios Championship was in limbo for about three months. IWRG decided to held an eight team tournament to determine new champions, which just happened to coincide with Cerebro Negro's return to the promotion (though he wasn't part of the team he held the belts with.)
The four team two blocks were decided on April 15 and April 22, 2010. The final was held on April 29, all in Arena Naucalpan and saw the rudo "family" team of Los Máscara Año 2000s (Hijo, Senior, and Junior) defeat the rudo Gringos VIPs (Avisman, El Hijo del Diablo, Gringo Loco). However, Silver King, watching the match from the front row, correctly informed the referees about the Mascaras using a low blow to gain the win, and the decision was overturned in the Gringos favor.
