El Sultán is only known to have wrestled once, teaming with family members Humberto Garza, Ninja Jr., and Último Ninja. The match took place on 2013 show in tribute to Sultan's father, Hector Garza, as the elder Garza was battling cancer. The match seemed intended to give Hector a chance to see his son have a match before he passed away. Hector died a month later. El Sultan has never been seen in the ring again.
The name was likely a reference to Monterrey's "Sultana del Norte" nickname.
