IWRG Intercontinental Tag Team Tournament, 2010
In January 2010, IWRG held an eight team tournament for the IWRG Intercontinental Tag Team Championship. The previous champions had not defended the championship since defending winning it the prior August 9th.
IWRG broke the tournament into two blocks, but did not use a traditional single elimination format. Instead, each block was more of a staggered four way tag team elimination match. One member of the team would start in the ring and wrestle until they were eliminated, and the second member of the team would take their place. The last remaining wrestler won the match for his team.
This tournament had a father/son theme. All teams were billed as father/son, and the sons all started their match for their teams.
