Made a big stink in 2010 in the lucha magazines that the current CMLL luchador, Misterioso II, was falsely using the name Misterioso Jr. This luchador said he had been given that specific name by his uncle and the Laguna luchador only had the rights to "Misterioso II". Misterioso II disagreed, loudly. Misterioso Senior was unhelpful in solving the conflict, mostly suggesting the two call each other and talk about it.

Only turned up a few times before or after the conflict (including once on Noches de Coliseo), getting far more attention for the argument than anything he's accomplished in the ring.
