A one night losers-advance tournament in [[Palacio de los Deportes]], held on [[June 19]], [[1977]]. All wrestlers in the tournament put their masks on the line. The event was known as "16 Mascaras al Infierno".

A battle royal was held to determine both the teams and the seeding for the tournament. 

Canek was advertised for the tournament, but was marked as injured in a magazine and was instead put into a singles match with [[Dr. Wagner]]. [[Dos Caras]] was also advertised, but was marked as injured and did not compete.
