Talk:The Crash Tag Team Championship

Bandido y Flamita as Legitimate Champions

I notice about some inconsistencies. The March 17, 2018 show originally announced as triangle tag team match for the vacant titles. Even the The Crash Lucha Libre official site published that Bandido & Flamita were the new tag team champions. However, they did not receive the physical belts, moreover the belts were not even shown on that night.

In the match video the ring announcer said:

"Los vencedores de la lucha y por lo tanto tienen una oportunidad para enfrentarse y poderse coronarse como los nuevos campeones de parejas The Crash, Bandido y Flamita" ("The winners of this match and therefore they won an opportunity to contest and become the new The Crash Tag Team champions, Bandido & Flamita")

However, they were seemely forgotten there was no second contenders' match on the following show. Instead there was another elimination match on November 3, 2018 in which Pentagon Jr. & Fénix won and became the new champions (The belts were still missing on that night, because, the winners did not receive the physical belts either). Bandido & Flamita did not were mentioned as former champions or even took part in that match.

There are too many sudden changes (or mistakes) It could be attributed to the promotion's lack of continuity.

For these reasons it is unclear if Bandido y Flamita are acknowleged as former champions by the promotion.

The November 2018 show was the one live stream The Crash did with announcers. The announcers stated the last tag champions were the Hardys, which really didn't make sense with Bandido & Flamita as previous champions. It does make sense if Bandido & Flamita were just considered #1 contenders. We'll go with that. --thecubsfan (talk) 11:03, 23 April 2019 (PDT)
