Current Champion
El Mesias is the current champion, winning this championship from La Parka Jr. on August 19, 2007. This match was in the first round of the AAA World Heavyweight Tournament, 2007, while already holding the IWC World Heavyweight Championship.
History of Championship
The title was created for the debut show of Juventud Guerrera's new promotion named GPCW. The idea was to run regular tapings for Japanese TV but shockingly the promotion only did one taping. The title however stuck around, seemed to be a regular part of the AAA championships (in other words, occasionally spoken about and rarely defended.) Mesias picked it up on August 2007, as part of his accumulation of the belts.
