Later int hat same issue, Pulgarcito is hyped as the first runner up for this title, suggested this Carnicerito/Pulgarcito match was the original tournament final.

Am I reading this wrong? To me, the source says the event was in Mexico City.
 
La misma tarde, pero en la Arena Monumental, de la colonia Tlacotal, Iztacalco, en esta capital, Pedro Nieves retuvo el Campeonato de Peso Ligero del Distrito Federal ante su retador, El Pokarito Ramírez.

La misma tarde, pero en la Arena Monumental, de la colonia Tlacotal, Iztacalco, en esta capital, Pedro Nieves retuvo el Campeonato de Peso Ligero del Distrito Federal ante su retador, El Pokarito Ramírez.
