A mid 2000s CMLL midcarder who never seemed to move past the spot he started with, and eventually started to get pass by groups of younger wrestlers. Had a long partnership with Tigre Blanco and a shorter trio also with Rey Tigre, but none of those groups had any momentum. As of 2010, he's still around, but more for his eventually mask loss than any plans the company has for him.
Started out as Tigre Metalico, taking the name as a tribute to original trainer Tigre de Oro[1], which led to those obvious Tigre teamups. Around the end of May 2007, he suddenly switched to the name Metalico, dropping the Tigre reference in both his name and his look. There was no full public explanation, but CMLL appeared to be trademarking the names and identities of all of their wrestlers around this time, so perhaps they found out that the name Tigre Metalico was held by another and made this one switch.
After dropping his mask Metálico started to style himself after acting and singing legend Pedro Infante, complete with mustache and singing prior to his matches.
Lost a career vs. career match to Virus at Juicio Final, 2019. He later announced he'd be re-training as a referee.
