Lucha World Cup

The Lucha World Cup is an international trios competition hosted by AAA in 2015. The one night show will take place on May 24 in Palacio de los Deportes.

The tournament was announced at a press conference on March 3rd. Beer brand Victoria is a sponsor of the competition.

The format of the tournament has not been announced, but is assumed to be a standard one night single elimination competition.

Teams

Eight teams were announced for the competition, with 3 representing Mexico, 2 representing Japan and US each, and 1 extra team. Team members were announced during the lead up to the tournament.

Italics indicate names which have not yet officially been announced by the competition, but were revealed thru the ticket info.

Mexico Team 2 Selection

AAA announced it's second team would be decided by a tournament taking place on those shows. AAA would later announce three triangle matches to select each participant.
