CMLL held a torneo incredible de parajas on August 21st, 2011, where the losers would advance to an immediate apuesta match. The tournament featured the miniestrellas, in celebration of the official 19th anniversary of their division. Sixteen minis, broken into eight teams, participated. Most, but not all, teams featured a rudo and a tecnico teaming.
Seeding was determined by a battle royal including one member of each team. The last two left in the ring were Pequeno Universo 2000 & Fantasy.
