History

Guatemalan professional wrestler and promoter who was also an actor in Mexico during the 1970s, appearing b and horror movies like Una Rosa Sobre el Ring, La Mansión de las Siete Momias (1975), Las Momias de San Ángel (1975) and Superzan y El Niño Del Espacio (1973) along with . He took ownership of professional wrestling in Guatemala after José Azzari stepped down in 1976 and remained in charge of booking at the Teodoro Palacios Arena until 1985, after that he created his own promotion called "Ring 2000" that same year and it started in a small movie theater in a humble part of Guatemala City, later on, that same promotion achieved mainstream status and Edgar Echeverria returned to larger venues, Ring 2000 remained active until 1995, the promotion returned briefly in the year 2005 with a national tv deal but Edgar Echeverria couldn't keep up with the expenses and the promotion shut down, this time for good. He made a brief return to in-ring action in March 2013 but passed away on December 11, 2013 nine months after making his return.
