MLW
Major League Wrestling is an American promotion, founded in 2002, defunct in 2004, and revived in 2017. MLW Fusion is its weekly television show, but "television" is very generous as it seems to change channels every week. This promotion has run several cross-promoted events with AAA, EMW and The Crash. These events take place from Tijuana and are marketed as MLW Super Series. They also use several luchadors on a regular basis, with Microman being particularly popular there.
In September 2023, MLW announced a "historic" alliance with both CMLL and NJPW.
Azteca Underground
Azteca Underground is MLW's attempt to create a spiritual successor to Lucha Underground, using several of the major names in that project (that haven't been signed elsewhere already) as well as indie luchadors. There was an attempt to create a mini-series called MLW Azteca - including Luis Fernández Gil reprising his Dario Cueto character, under the name of Cesar Duran - but it never got past the taping at MLW Super Series, 2021. Only one other Azteca Underground-specific event has been held.
- MLW Super Series, 2021 - took place from Auditorio Fausto Gutierrez Moreno and taped for five episodes of the MLW Azteca series.
- MLW Azteca Underground - took place from Dallas, Texas, and aired as part of MLW Fusion.
