Moved from there to IWRG, working as a regular there from April 2009 to March 2010, including winning the Americas Light Heavyweight Championship from his trainer Negro Navarro, then losing it to his trainer's son Trauma I. Abruptly left Mexico at the end of his IWRG run.
Resurfaced back on the December Toryumon show, but not back in IWRG. Joined AAA in March of 2011 for one match. Later in 2011 made his return to IWRG.
Going to Wrestling New Classic (WNC) in Japan in summer 2012 and wrestled as "Backpacker Joe". Short time after, he change his ring name to Adam Angel.
