Began his career in AAA as a background charachter as at the Rey De Reyes 2000 he was a paramedic who got involved in a brawl and ended up taking a dive by Charly Manson off an ambulance. First official appearence in the ring came during the finals of the Torneo Novato De Oro where he used the name Escoria but was playing his old gimmick of a homeless high flyer. Only a month or so later the Black Family gimmick was created and he formed a stable with Chessman, El Cuervo & Charly Manson. He has spent his entire AAA career in that stable with only his partners changing. They've mostly been a secondary stable who would often team up to help the top rudo in AAA like Cibernetico or El Mesias. They are also known for their classic matches with Los Barrio Boys whom they feuded with over the Mexican National Atomicos Titles. When Antonio Pena was alive the Black Family was almost always given an important role and used for major angles but since his passing they've largely been an undercard act who only gets elevated to the main event when someone needs to take a pinfall or submission instead of the top guys. Escoria seems to be third in the pecking order currently with both Ozz and Cuervo getting the odd booking as singles competitors or as a tag team. Escoria has always been a good high flyer but somehow never got a singles push.

Escoria has been rumored to be related to both Charly Manson and Electro Shock (due largely to his use of El Pozo as a signature hold) but that has never been proven.
