Current Champion
As of 2006.07.15, Octagon is the Mexican National Middleweight Champion, having defeated Zumbido at a AAA TV Taping. The championship has been mostly inactive since Octagon won it. It's more or less defunct, though there's always a chance it may be randomly defended on a non television show, as AAA does with Mexican National Tag Team Championship
